Personal message: I am passionate about creating authentic learning experiences that challenge students to think critically, creatively and to achieve their best.

Statement of areas of responsibility:

The Instructional Specialist role is a part time classroom teacher performing at the level of an exemplary classroom practitioner and the other half working within the school to model classroom practitioner excellence to improve learning outcomes and bring about change in the instruction of teachers K-6. 

Professional experience: Ashley has been a classroom teacher at All Hallows Catholic Primary School Five Dock since 2016. She has presented at a number of Sydney Catholic Schools educational conferences, including Authentic Learning TeachMeets and Network Meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Australian Catholic University)
  • Graduate Certificate of Inclusive Education
  • Mini Certificate of Gifted Education (University of New South Wales)

Professional interests: She is incredibly passionate about creating learning experiences and environments that cater for the needs of each student. Throughout her career she has been enthusiastically engaged in professional learning with a focus on identifying and catering to students with additional needs. In 2019 she completed postgraduate study in Inclusive Education, which not only furthered her own professional knowledge and understandings, but also ignited a passion for leading colleagues in this area.
